Особливості інституалізації УПЦ КП в період становлення незалежності України (1991–1993 рр.)

Abstract

У статті подається аналіз інституалізації УПЦ КП на початку 1990-х рр. Подано характеристику внутрішньо-церковних протиріч українського автокефального руху в 1991−1993 рр. Відзначено, що міжцерковні суперечності більшою мірою зумовлювались суб’єктивними чинниками − амбіціями ієрархів, боротьбою за владу в Церкві тощо. Окрема увага зосереджена на виявленні основних причин та проявів міжконфесійних протистоянь, що пояснюються різними підходами сприйняттям та розумінням українсько-російського минулого. Доведено, що причини конфлікту між УПЦ КП та УПЦ в підпорядкуванні Московського Патріархату мають різне бачення способу набуття автокефалії.

The article analyzes the institutionalization of the UOC-KP in Western Ukraine in the early 1990's. The article describes the intra-church problems of the Ukrainian autocephalous movement in 1991–1993. It was noted that inter-church contradictions were more and more conditioned by subjective factors - the ambitions of the hierarchs, the struggle for power in the church, and so on. Particular attention is focused on revealing the main causes and manifestations of interconfessional conflicts, the essence of the contradictions that take place at the present stage of the socio-ideological development of Ukraine and to a large extent due to different approaches, perceptions and understandings of the Ukrainian-Russian past. The role of the Ukrainian church in the context of national life is considered. It is proved that the reasons for the internal conflict between the two Ukrainian-centric churches (Moscow and Kyiv Patriarchate) are much deeper than seemingly at first glance and relate to the different view of both institutions as a way of acquiring autocephaly.
