| Abstract: | The article deals with problem of the development of lexical competence using song materials. The definition of «lexical competence» and the general characteristics of lexical competence are given. The advantages and perspectives of using song materials in the process of teaching have been distinguished. With the purpose of the development of lexical competence some teaching methods and activities have been suggested. |
